hello, world

2026-07-11

Welcome to the new site.

This is a placeholder first post — the interesting part is what's rendering behind the home page: a real-time Schwarzschild black hole. Every frame, the GPU integrates light rays backwards from the camera through curved spacetime:

a = -3/2 · h² · x / |x|⁵

That single acceleration term is enough to produce gravitational lensing, the photon ring, and the famous "hat" — the far side of the accretion disk bent up and over the event horizon.

hint: `launch star` feeds the black hole — add `--slow` for a long death spiral
